FAQ

are the flowers really free?

Yes! The free flowers that we pass out are all for you. We hope that our actions can create some more smiles around in the community, and show how gratitude and hope can truly fuel joy. If you do not desire to keep the flower, we challenge you to pass it to another stranger. You never know how much it could mean to someone!

how do you decide what to write on the cards?

Each month, we search quotes on Pinterest to get inspiration for the cards.

how can i join blooming others and what are the requirements to do so?

Before contacting us, please make sure that you are fully ready to enter into the responsibilities, commitments, and duties that we will ask you to uphold. Once you are sure, please email us bloomingothers@gmail.com to begin directly communicating with us.

do i have to be “religious” in order to join?

No, not at all! The only requirement to join Blooming Others is to be a local student. However, there are numerous responsibilities and commitments that the student will be asked to keep, so we strongly encourage that the amount of time offered can be carefully considered. This organization is centered on a welcoming community, so please do not hesitate to contact us.

besides volunteering/joining, how can i help?

Thank you so much for your interest in helping us! Because our organization is 100% run on volunteers, we do truly appreciate your generosity. As a partner, you can either sponsor one of our projects, donate stationary supplies, and help spread our mission through your personal conversations and social media.

what does sponsoring a blooming others project entail?

To sponsor one of our projects, you would be agreeing to paying for the flowers. In return, we would make the notes and hand them out for you.

have you been sponsored before?

Yes! We have been sponsored by Chiles Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Millennium Nail & Day Spa.

where is this organization located?

Blooming Others was founded in Tallahassee, Florida. However, starting in the fall of 2019, our organization will be expanding to Berkeley, California at the University of California, Berkeley. These two locations will continue to efficiently work together to center around the same mission.
